At Charter Oropesa we offer navigation license courses for the operation of jet skis and recreational boats up to 6 meters in length and with an engine power suitable for the vessel according to the manufacturer, which will authorize daytime navigation provided they do not go more than 2 nautical miles in any direction from a port, marina, or sheltered area.

Complete the theoretical training, which includes:
Two hours of theory during which an introduction to practical content will be provided. Knowledge will also be given on navigation limitations on unmarked and marked beaches and their access channels. Regulations regarding maritime traffic and internal port navigation. Lateral marks of region A. How to steer the boat to avoid pitching and rolling and the importance of not crossing the sea. Rules 4 to 8, 11 to 19, and 37 (including Annex IV) of the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea.
Basic notions for using a portable VHF radio station, limited to knowledge of channel 16, its use in emergencies, and basic routine communications, as well as how to contact Maritime Rescue (channel 16 and phone numbers 112 and 900 202 202).
This theoretical training can be delivered in a classroom or on the practice boat itself.
Complete the mandatory practical exercises with a minimum duration of 4 hours conducted underway, which will cover the following training:
Knowledge and handling of safety equipment, inspection of critical points of the boat, and pre-departure checks.
Identification of propulsion system components. Engine start-up and performance checks.
Handling of ropes and basic knots.
Maneuvers in the dock, docking, and undocking. Safe speed.
Anchoring maneuvers and turning the anchor. Precautions with swimmers and divers.
Safety maneuvers.
